Refund & Returns Policy

We want you to be happy with your Sortwell sorting system. This policy explains how returns, refunds and exchanges work.

1. 30-day returns

You may return unused products in their original condition and packaging within 30 days of delivery for a refund of the item price. If your order qualified for a promotion, the refund reflects the price actually paid.

2. Items that cannot be returned

  • Opened consumables and hygiene items — compostable liners, charcoal filters and refill packs — once the seal is broken, for health and safety reasons.
  • Compost starter cultures once opened.
  • Products damaged through misuse or use with prohibited materials (see the Acceptable Use Policy).

This does not affect your statutory rights if an item is faulty or not as described.

3. Faulty or incorrect items

If an item arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, contact us within 30 days at support@johgramet.shop with your order reference and a photo. We will arrange a free replacement or a full refund including original shipping.

4. How to start a return

Email support@johgramet.shop with your order reference and the items you wish to return. We will send return instructions. For non-faulty returns, you are responsible for return shipping unless local consumer law provides otherwise.

5. Refund timescales

Once we receive and inspect your return, we process refunds within 5–10 business days to your original payment method via Stripe. Your bank may take additional time to show the funds.

6. Duties and taxes

For international orders, any import duties or taxes charged by your local authority are your responsibility and are not refundable by us. Original outbound shipping is refunded only for faulty or incorrect items.

7. Membership cancellations

You can cancel a Plus or Pro membership at any time through the customer portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; the current paid period continues until its end and is not refunded pro-rata, and unused period benefits (such as an unclaimed refill box or shipping benefit) do not carry over or convert to cash.
